How points work

Points scale with impact, not rarity — picking the champion (100) outweighs a match result (5). Every value below is a live, admin-tunable row in the database.

Weighted points (the tiebreaker)

When two players have the same total, we compare weighted points— each point multiplied by that prediction's weight (a decided 1–10 difficulty, shown on every row below). So points earned on harder calls (champion ×10, awards ×9) rank you above someone who racked up easy hits (match result ×2). Rank ladder: points → weighted points → account age → id.

🏆 Two scores, one fair prize
Tournament score — wins the prize
Group order, best thirds, the knockout bracket, tournament awards and the perfect bonuses. Every part rewards predicting early & blind, and the bracket hard-locks when the knockouts begin — so a latecomer can't swoop in late and out-rank someone who called it months early.
Match score — just for fun
Per-match predictions on each match page (result, exact score, scorers, tie-breaks). Great for bragging rights and a separate ranking — but it does not affect the prize leaderboard, so volume-grinding can't buy a top finish.
🔒 When your picks lock

Predict early and blind — that's where the points are. There are three deadlines:

📊 Group order
Editable up to twice, until your group's final matchday. The earlier & blinder you lock it, the more it's worth — and all group points settle together when the league ends.
🏆 Knockout bracket
One blind call. Your whole bracket locks the instant the first knockout match kicks off — you can't edit later rounds after watching the early ones.
Per-match picks
Result, exact score, scorers and tie-breaks on each match page stay open until that match goes live, then freeze.

🏅 Perfect bonuses: nail a group's exact order (+10 each), every group (+150), or every knockout winner (+300) — awarded automatically from your own picks, scaled by how early you committed.
